Implant Treatments

Edentulism causes numerous problems. For instance;

  1. We cannot digest food sufficiently as a result of chewing dysfunction. Multiple academic studies show that almost 50 percent of edentulous patients avoid consuming various food and thus change their nutritional habits. Consequently, they suffer from various health issues such as intestinal problems, weight gain and a weak immune system.
  2. People smile less and experience social fears when they do due to aesthetic problems caused by missing teeth.
  3. The voids from long-missing teeth in the jaw lead to facial asymmetry due to muscle weakness.
  4. The teeth adjacent to missing teeth may extend or lean towards the void. Furthermore, bones lose support from teeth and thus dissolve, a condition known as bone resorption.
  5. Missing teeth cause speech disorders, specifically phonation disorders which lead to a disrupted or difficult production of sounds.
  6. When occlusion, i.e. the relationship between the maxillary and mandibular teeth when the jaw is closed, is disrupted, such a condition may result in pain in the temporomandibular joint as well as bruxism and dental abrasion.

Today, implant treatment is the most efficient treatment in solving this problem and similar problems. Artificial dental roots, which are made of titanium and imitate natural dental roots, are used for treatment at a success rate of over 95 percent.

There is a common misconception that implant treatment is painful and cumbersome. Positive developments in implant technology, coupled with a widespread network of training and education, have enabled many dentists to apply the optimal treatment methods for their patients. As a result, pain-free and smooth implant treatment is possible with almost no need for antibiotics or pain killers.

Our Competence:

Implant treatment is a complicated one. Placing implants in the mandible or maxilla and ensuring a fully aesthetic look of the surrounding gingiva both require surgical mastery. Moreover, the dental prostheses we apply on top of the implants require a huge dentistry experience and skills.  Implantology is a combination of these two. I completed my master’s degree in implantology at the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery and Implantology at Guglielmo Marconi University in Italy and was awarded the title of implantologist as well as a diploma of implantology that is recognized in Europe and the US.

We attend numerous events both within the country and abroad and keep up with the latest develop
